Tiburon neighbors: It's an issue of noise, parking and traffic

The Marin Independent Journal published an article highlighting the numerous complaints residents of Tiburon have with the proposed expansion/renovation by Congregation Kol Shofar.  Here are some samples:

Jerry Thayer:  "We are concerned about the increased attendance, more traffic, greater numbers and more parking problems in our neighborhood.  We've got a lot of kids over here. These are not through streets. What they're trying to do is shoe-horn something in that doesn't belong there."

Virginia Brunini:  "They're still talking about a project that is too large and doesn't take care of the parking on its own space.  It's not about religion. It's about cars. C-A-R-S."

Forrest Morphew:  "We already have the Audubon Society parking here and have a multipurpose path overwhelmed with traffic.  We don't need any more traffic along the road."

Judges throughout the country have rejected increased traffic and noise as being significant enough concerns to prevent similar renovations and expansions to other religious buildings.
